Welcome to Boston!
If you are cruising from Boston, the Seaport is one of the easiest areas to enjoy before or after your sailing from Flynn Cruiseport Boston. You can grab a meal, find drinks, explore nearby attractions, or pick up last-minute items without leaving the neighborhood.
Over the years Boston has become a bonus cruise port. Cruise Lines out of Boston include Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruise Line, Holland America Cruise Line and more and over those years the Seaport area has exploded with so many new bars, restaurants and even cutting-edge technology arcades! The Seaport also offers lots of conveniences like Trader Joes, CVS Pharmacy, Walgreens incase you missed packing some Travel Must Haves!
Food Trucks! Desserts and Breweries OH MY! There is no shortage of things to eat and drink while waiting for your next departure.
Here are some of my favorites in no particular order and I will most likely catch some grief as I will be listing some not so common places but in the long run they are worth exploring! Hope you enjoy and if your not on my client list please join.
Update April 2026
The cruise terminal is currently undergoing some renovations and improvements. Pease make sure to check with your cruise line or trusted travel advisor for any updates on delays in embarkation and debarkation. As of April 2026, there were a few delays with Norwegian which had experienced WIFI issues and power issues which completely slowed down the process. It was handled well but still keep this in mind.
So this past weekend I was invited by Princess Cruise Line to go for a ship inspection onboard the Majestic Princess. It was also a great experience all around and since this writing things have changed down the seaport even more!
What I thought was really cool was a new “Speak Easy” by Cisco Brewery which you enter through a Porta-Potty! It was jammed pack as it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon but it was a great addition to the area.

- Parking is available for the cruise port and reservations are strongly encouraged. Averages about $37per day you can find out all your information by visiting the Massport homepage..
- Map of the Seaport Area for places to visit. Plenty of hotels in the rea and this will give you a good layout of where you will be located on day of departure.
- The Seaport is very lively and safe but still use common sense. After 11pm things get a bit quiet on weekdays (weekends later) so be aware of your surroundings. Uber and Lyft are all over Boston so think about taking a ride share as it gets later into the night.
- Don’t want to walk around the area there are plenty of Blue Bike Stations in the area. You can rent these for $2.95 for a 30minute ride or $10 for Unlimited 2 hour rides.
- Water Taxis can get you around town as well. It is kind of a fun and easy way to see parts of Boston like Charlestown, not only home to the Movie “The Town” but also the Warren Tavern or visit the North End where you can experience quality, authentic Italian at places like Giacomos.
- Plenty of Hotels to stay at in the area and they come in all budget ranges.
Other Boston Attractions and FUN!

Final Thoughts on Cruising From Boston
In closing I hope you found this blog informative and useful for your planning a trip to Boston’s Seaport for your next Caribbean Cruise Adventure or your just exploring the city. Each season brings new and exciting activities so plan your trips and your clothing accordingly!
The cruiseport is in a great area of the city and leaves you with so many options for exploration when you are here for pre and post cruises. From the food, history and attractions, all are withing striking distance.
On a personal note we love leaving from Boston. Even though there wa a few hiccups it saved us thousands of dollars between airfare, transportation and hotel stays for pre/post cruising. If you are unsure of departing from Boston, I encourage you to try it.
If you are new to cruising, I also encourage you to give it a shot before making the investment of traveling from other ports which will cost you the money in airfare and hotels. First timers, make sure to check out my guide but also consider a summer time cruise to Bermuda to get your sea legs on!
FAQ
What is there to do near Flynn Cruiseport Boston?
Boston Seaport has restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, attractions, hotels, and stores close to Flynn Cruiseport Boston. It is a practical area to explore before or after a cruise from Boston.
How difficult is it to get in and out of the port?
The cruise port runs pretty efficiently. To be 100% honest it is no where near as polished as Port Canaveral or even Miami for boarding but it is pretty simple. Pull up, have a porter take your bags and then off to the tent to check in. Even with tech glitches we were from the house to the buffett in 90 minutes ( we live 15minutes away )
Are there taxis/ride shares for Debarkation?
Yes but here is a inside tip. When you are off the ship and you grab your bags, walk out the terminal and take a left. Walk straight down and you will find a line of cabs just sitting there as the people lined up are for personal rides, private charter or Rideshare.
Are there hotels with park and stay packages?
If booking a park and stay package please read your hotel location CAREFULLY! Revere is not Boston, and you will most likely need to take a taxi from that hotel to the cruise port. I would look at staying in the seaport and just booking a parking spot through the below link.
Is there parking at the cruise terminal?
Yes but you must buy your parking through Massport and park at the Massport Fargo Lot
