Welcome to Boston

Welcome to the beautiful Boston Seaport. You are most likely reading this as you are looking for things to do in and around the Seaport area which is where your cruise will be departing fromBoston Cruise Port or you are visiting Boston and found this blog. Over the years Boston has become a bonus cruise port. Cruise Lines out of Boston include Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruise Line, Holland America Cruise Line and more and over those years the Seaport area has exploded with so many new bars, restaurants and even cutting-edge technology arcades! The Seaport also offers lots of conveniences like Trader Joes, CVS Pharmacy, Walgreens incase you missed packing some Travel Must Haves!

Food Trucks! Desserts and Breweries OH MY! There is no shortage of things to eat and drink while waiting for your next departure.

Here are some of my favorites in no particular order and I will most likely catch some grief as I will be listing some not so common places but in the long run they are worth exploring! Hope you enjoy and if your not on my client list please join.

Update August 11, 2025

So this past weekend I was invited by Princess Cruise Line to go for a ship inspection onboard the Majestic Princess. It was also a great experience all around and since this writing things have changed down the seaport even more!

What I thought was really cool was a new “Speak Easy” by Cisco Brewery which you enter through a Porta-Potty! It was jammed pack as it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon but it was a great addition to the area.

Located on D Street in South Boston this Brazilian Steak House is a must try. The Salad Bar / Appetizer bar alone is amazing and delicious. We were fortunate enough to catch this place on Dine Out Boston which awarded us with the freedom to try almost everything on their menu.

Alma Gaucha is located at:

401 D Street Boston
(617) 420-4900

New Client Contact

This was a tough one as I am a car nut and this place just screams adrenaline, I was tossed between this and Flight Club which Ill mention below but F1 is far more than an arcade, it is a F1 Racing Simulator! You sit in a full motion simulator and can race as a group or head to head against friends and family. It is awesome! Don’t worry if you get hungry they have a full bar and kitchen to help with that.

F1 Arcade is located at:

87 Pier 4 Blvd. Boston
(617) 675-3131

Trillium has some amazing beers and their taproom is just as good. Offering both indoor and outdoor seating they have you covered. You can even make reservations up to 14 days in advance so you can plan your travel ahead of time. 1 Draw back is they do close at 11pm and kitchen closes at 10pm so no late night eats but their beer is well worth it. Not big on craft beers do not worry Harpoon Brewery is located in the Seaport as well.

Trillium is located at:

50 Thomson Pl. Boston, MA 02210
(857) 449-0083

Other Boston Cruise Port Information

  • Parking is available for the cruise port and reservations are strongly encouraged. Averages about $37per day you can find out all your information here.
  • Map of the Seaport Area for places to visit. Plenty of hotels in the rea and this will give you a good layout of where you will be located on day of departure.
  • The Seaport is very lively and safe but still use common sense. After 11pm things get a bit quiet on weekdays (weekends later) so be aware of your surroundings. Uber and Lyft are all over Boston so think about taking a ride share as it gets later into the night.
  • Don’t want to walk around the area there are plenty of Blue Bike Stations in the area. You can rent these for $2.95 for a 30minute ride or $10 for Unlimited 2 hour rides.
  • Water Taxis can get you around town as well. It is kind of a fun and easy way to see parts of Boston like Charlestown, not only home to the Movie “The Town” but also the Warren Tavern or visit the North End where you can experience quality, authentic Italian at places like Giacomos.
  • Plenty of Hotels to stay at in the area and they come in all budget ranges.
